ANAS Nakhchivan Division held the scientific conference devoted to the poem "Azer" by the outstanding representative of the 20th century Azerbaijan romanticism and world, the brilliant playwright Huseyn Javid.

At the event Director of the Institute of Art, Language and Literature, corresponding member of ANAS Abulfaz Guliyev spoke about the life and work of the writer, as well as care shown in our country to Javid’s heritage, Javid family.

The scientist-linguist, noted the Order of the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic "On books that are necessary to read" dated August 28, 2017, said that among the recommended publications the poem "Azer" by Huseyn Javid, who is the author of the first poetic tragedy and drama in the domestic literature.

At the conference, head of the Department of Literature Studies of the Institute of Arts, Language and Literature, Ph.D. in Philology, assistant professor Ramiz Gasimov delivered paper on "Outstanding Azerbaijani poet Huseyn Javid and his poem "Azer", head of the Department of Folklore Studies, Ph.D. in Philology Elkhan Mamedov on "Huseyn Javid’s Shamsa against Fat man Maupassant", senior researcher of the Department of Music and Theater, Ph.D. in Art, assistant professor Alakbar Gasimov on " Huseyn Javid’s poem "Azer" on the stage".

It was noted that, Huseyn Javid's dramatic works are the gold fund of Azerbaijani literature. Propagating humanistic ideas in each of his works, the outstanding playwright saw the salvation of all mankind in love, peace and pacification.

It was noted that, the inclusion of Huseyn Javid’s poem "Azer" to the list of "Books that are necessary to read" by the order of the Chairman of the Supreme Mejlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is a clear example of state care for the work of a prominent thinker.
