Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Head of department of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of ANAS, assistant professor Gulam Babayev recently defended his doctoral dissertation on "Modeling of strong earthquakes in the territory of Baku on the basis of microcosmic data and perceptual scenario earthquake parameters". He is the youngest scientist who deserves this academic degree in Earth Sciences.

G.Babayev was born in 1974 in Baku. In 1996 he graduated with honors from the Geological-Exploration Department of the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy. He studied at the University of Texas in the United States of America (USA) in 1997-1998.

He is the author of 64 scientific works, published in 15 influential journals with impact factors.

We congratulate Gulam Babayev on awarding the title of Doctor of Sciences of Azerbaijan at the young age, and wish him health and new achievements on this difficult and glorious path!
