Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

In the development strategy, science and technology occupy an important place. In this regard, one of the forthcoming tasks is the expansion of production based on science and high technologies.

Serious steps are being taken in this direction in our country. Technological parks, industrial zones, business incubators are created and opportunities for supporting innovative ideas are expanding. For this purpose, the High-Tech Park "Pirallahy" and "Mingachevir" function under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, the State Fund for the Development of Information Technologies, the Center for High Technologies and the National Center for Nuclear Research. In the Center for High Technologies equipped with modern equipment, our scientists, using nanotechnology oil in the Caspian as a source of carbon, have developed nanotubes. There are also successful results in the production of LED lamps of a new generation, and tests are underway.

These words were voiced by the Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Ramin Guluzadeh at the annual General Meeting of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.

The Minister brought to attention that with the support of the Ministry in English, the international journal "Applied and Computational Mathematics" is being issued. This magazine is the first and only Azerbaijani magazine with influence factor.

Speaking about cooperation with scientists in the field of effective use of the existing Azerbaijani scientific potential in solving current and future issues, the minister noted that a DATA-center has been created in our country that meets the most safe and modern standards in the region. DATA-center received a certificate of high reliability TIER III, recognized internationally and equipped with equipment of the world's leading companies in this field. Since 2017, DATA-Center provides state structures, individuals and legal entities with services of data technologies and cloud technologies. DATA-center is ready to provide services in accordance with the range of activities of business and government agencies, and the scientific community.

"Ministry closely cooperates with the leadership and relevant institutions of the National Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences. We hope that, our joint cooperation will make a significant contribution to the socio-economic, scientific and technological development of our country" said Rumin Guluzadeh.
