Team of ANAS Institute of Geography, led by the director of this scientific institution, academician Ramiz Mammadov was on an expedition in Neftchala and Salyan on June 23-24.

During the expedition, scientists tested the drone shooting. For this purpose they used the unmanned aerial vehicle of ANAS High Technologies Park. The goal was to conduct research in the area of the Kura river passing through the Neftchala region, as well as the coastal zone of the Caspian Sea, shooting the current state with remote sensing, comparing these photographs with previous photographs and large-scale maps, identifying the main trends in the coastal zone and the delta of the Kura.

Testing a drone were held on land, on the banks of the Kura River. As a result of the initial landscape research in this area, significant factual material was obtained. It has been established that, over the past few years significant changes have occurred on the islands of the Kura River along the delta of the river, separated by a river. But on the islands of the river, the natural landscape was less susceptible to anthropogenic changes.
