Conference dedicated to great Turkmen poet Makhtumgulu Fəragi’s 290th anniversary on theme “Forerunner of friendship and brotherhood Makhtumgulu Fəragi” at the Institute of Manuscripts named after Mahammad Fuzuli.

Management and delegation of Turkmenistan attended the conference , initially books about Makhtumgulu Fəragi and Turkmenistan were shown.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan Koyli Komekov spoke about Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan's rich history, friendly relations and said that our countries had deep historical and cultural roots . Ambassador emphasized the holding conference dedicated to great Turkmen poet Makhtumgulu Fəragi’s 290th anniversary in Baki will make an important contribution to the development of cultural relations between the two countries.

Representatives of the Institute of Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan Atamurad Saparmuradov , Meylis Jabbarov , post-graduate students of the Institute of Literature Ismikhan Osmanli and others spoke about life and work of the great poet at the conference.
