Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Academician Asaf Hajiyev, head of Department of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS, visited China at the invitation of Sichuan (Chengdu) on September 11-15, 2018.

On September 12, Asaf Hajiyev delivered a paper on "Foundations of Stochastic Financial Mathematics" at the University of Sichuan. Then, on September 13-14, academician took part in the 3rd Plenary Session of the 1st International Advisory Council of the University of Sichuan, which he is a member.

The 1st International Advisory Council of the University of Sichuan was founded in 2016 and consists of 40 leading scientists and specialists from all over the world. The board consists of 3 Nobel Prize laureates, scientists from Harvard University, Berkeley, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and other well-known scientific centers. The purpose of the Council is to develop an action plan and to include the leading university in China - Sichuan, in the ranks of the world's leading universities.

Asaf Hajiyev spoke about the problems of modern science and the measures necessary for their solution, as well as the recent reforms of ANAS. At the event, Asaf Hajiyev met with Nobel Prize laureate, Professor of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with Chao Chung and discussed the problems facing modern science.
