International scientific - practical conference “Tourism , region study and geographical problems of the environment” was conducted in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Director of the Institute of Geography named after academician Hasan Aliyev, corresponding member Ramiz Mammadov represented our country at the conference organized by Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai. R.Mammadov made a lecture o theme “ Role of national parks in the development of tourism in Azerbaijjan” and responded to the questions of the participants.

In addition to Azerbaijani and Kazakhstan, scientists from Germany , Uzbekistan, Belgium, Ukraine, Russia , Hungary and other countries attended the event.

Employees of the Institute of Geography – Doctor of Geography Zakir Eminov’s “Problems of socio-economic development of the border areas”, PhD in Geography Zaur Imani’s “Medical and health tourism in Azerbaijan Republic”, PhD in Geography Nizami Ayyubov and Natella Zakariyya’s “Modern features and problems of potential use of natural resources in border areas of Azerbaijan” articles included to the works of the conference.
