Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Institute of Geology and Geophysics will mark the 80th jubilee in the Circular Assembly Hall of ANAS Main Building on November 15 at 12:00.

Prominent statesmen and scientists, representatives of embassies and public organizations, guests from foreign countries will attend the ceremony.

It should be noted that the Institute for many years has focused on the development of geological sciences, the solution of fundamental and applied issues in the study of mathematical models of geological structure, geodynamic conditions, mud volcanism and geological processes of the republic, as well as creation and strengthening of mineral raw material base in Azerbaijan.

During the 80 years of operation, the enterprise has developed a three-dimensional model of evolution of the heat regime, reconstruction of oil and gas reservoirs in time and space and etc. Also, scientific schools have been established by the scientists of the geological sciences of Azerbaijan.
