Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

The closing ceremony of the XV International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) was held in Gaborone (Republic of Botswana) on December 10. The competition was attended by teams of students no older than 15 years from more than 50 countries. The Olympiad were organized in physics, chemistry and biology. Azerbaijan was represented by 6 students, which won 5 bronze medals.

Student of IX grade of the Republican Lyceum with a chemical and biological bias under the Ministry of Education Sadiyar Gafarov, a student of X grade of lyceum with a bias of physics, mathematics and computer science Muhammad Yusifov, IX grade student of the Baku Turkish Lyceum Khanim Yagublu and X grade student Ajdar Farzulazade, a student of the IX grade of Sumgayit Grammar School of Natural Sciences Murad Bashirov was awarded the bronze medals.

It should be noted that, at this Olympiad since 2004 our student have won 4 silver and 38 bronze medals.
