Russian journalist, writer, Caucasian historian, Professor Rudolf Ivanov died on the 88th.

Farewell ceremony was held in Moscow by participation of Representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Russian Federation and the Azerbaijani diaspora in Russia.

Speaking at the farewell event, ANAS Vice-President, academician Isa Habibbeyli told about the research activities of R.Ivanov, as well as about his great contribution to the development of the scientific community of our country.

Note, that Rudolf Ivanov was the author of 27 books, including more than 200 articles and essays on the history of the Russian Empire and the Caucasus. Among his works is the book "The deadly clash, declassified archives reveal the secrets of the struggle of Nariman Narimanov with the distortions of Bolshevism in Azerbaijan", which collected 475 historical documents, including articles and speeches of Narimanov from rare editions, as well as the collection "Kelb-Ali-Khan Nakhchivan. His era and heritage. Historical essays".

Rudolf Ivanov was a member of the Writers ’Unions of Russia and Azerbaijan, Moscow Union of Journalists, a full member of the non-state International Informatization Academy, an honorary doctor of the Institute of History of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and Nakhchivan State University of the Azerbaijan Republic. Hi was a"Dostlug" cavalierof, the Azerbaijani Order.
