SOCAR delivered a report on the drones produced by ANAS Science and Technology Park

SOCAR hosted a presentation of drones produced by Science and Technology Park, which is a resident of ANAS High Technologies Park of ANAS at Tower Podium on March 6, 2019. The event was also attended by employees of the Center for Strategic Scientific Research of the Academy of Sciences - Nadir Babakhanov, Teyrun Ahmadov and Arif Huseynov and the head of the Department of the Institute of Oil and Gas Fahradin Karimov.

Director of High Technologies Park of ANAS, PhD. in Economy Nazim Shukurov spoke about the main activities of the Park, noting that the provision of services for the creation of external and internal infrastructure, as well as the implementation of the necessary measures for effective business activities in the territory are among the main tasks of the institution he heads.

N.Shukurov stressed that, the production of electronics, automation, software, unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) and other electronic equipment is also being carried out here. High Technologies Park has improved the production of unmanned aerial vehicles of a new generation that meet international standards. It was also noted that, the production of these devices is held with the aim of conducting research in institutions and organizations of ANAS.

Further, head of the Special Department of the Park, Adil Mammadov informed the participants about the manual, which reflects information about drones. He noted that, the book covers issues related to the rules of use and the scope of application of UAVs.

Director of Science and Technology Park Javid Shahmuradov delivered a paper on unmanned aerial vehicles - drones. He noted that, in his institution, the main task reflects the production of innovative products, as well as the development and improvement of high technologies.

According to Javid Shahmuradov, these devices can be useful in reserves, protected areas, registration of mobile signals, territory mapping, construction design, determination of radiation and electromagnetic radiation in different areas, etc.

Unmanned aerial vehicles have great advantages for research using analytical instruments, as well as appropriate measurements in the field of agriculture.

During the event, the paper by Knut Roswold from Norway on the alternative energy company “PROVITAZ” was also listened. The paper demonstrated the diverse usage, efficiency and usage of alternative energy sources in Azerbaijan.
