ANAS Nakhchivan Division held a meeting with the first course students of Nakhchivan State University

ANAS Nakhchivan Division held a meeting with the first course students of Nakhchivan State University.

The event was devoted to the tasks arising from the Order by Vasif Talibov, Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated April 3, 2019.

The chairman of the Division, academician Ismail Hajiyev noted that, was created the Expert Group by the decision of the Presidium dated April 5 in connection with the custody of the relevant specialties. Speaking about the care and attention to science, education in Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Ismail Hajiyev informed students about the history of the Division, on its structure and research work.

He said that, will be hold a regular meetings with students, scientists will support them in preparing future specialists and presented scientific journals to students.

Further, Director of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archeology, corresponding member of ANAS Fakhraddin Safarli said that, the Institute conducts studies on the history of Nakhchivan, archeology, ethnography and epigraphy.

He noted that, in accordance with the order of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan "On the organization of work on the protection and certification of historical and cultural monuments in the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan" dated December 6, 2005, historical monuments passed on in the territory of the autonomous republic.

Staff of the Institute have prepared the “Historical Atlas of Nakhchivan”, the historical-geographical and ethnographic Atlas - “The Motherland of Dede Korkut - Nakhchivan”, etc.

During the visit, the guests visited the Museum of Archeology and Ethnography got acquainted with its expositions.
