Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

An employee of the US Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Manager of the Seismic Cooperation Program Rengin Gok and Professor of Canadian Geological Service Tuna Onur visited the Republican Seismic Survey Center of the National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).

The aim was to hold discussions on the work done within the framework of the project "Development of seismic networks in Central Asia and the Caucasus", as well as training of the center's staff with international standards.

During the meeting with the director general of the RSSC, corresponding member of ANAS Gurban Yetirmishli, the sides discussed the current state of joint cooperation, the work carried out in Azerbaijan within the framework of the project, as well as the application of new construction norms on seismic activity in construction sites.

The guests made suggestions on a seismic survey in Baku and other major cities of the country.
