Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Research Center of “Azerbaijan National Encyclopedia” held a meeting with well-known historian, chairman of the "Azerbaijan Historians" Public Union, employee of ANAS Institute of Archeology and Ethnography, Professor Rauf Huseynzade.

Firstly, ANAS Vice-President, Director of the Research Center of “Azerbaijan National Encyclopedia”, academician Tofig Naghiyev congratulated the historian on the 90th anniversary and spoke on importance of his scientific problems.

Professor Rauf Huseynzade expounded the problems, that he facing while studying history in Armenia in the Iravan higher educational institutions from 1963 to 2003.

Speaking about problems of historical science in independent Azerbaijan, he emphasized the importance of repeated studying of our history in present period and the researches conducted according to requirements of the Soviet ideology.

The scientist-historian told on the monographs and scientific works, including about the first monograph "The Syrian Sources of the 12-13th Centuries about Azerbaijan". In conclusion he donated a new book to Research Center of “Azerbaijan National Encyclopedia”.
