Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Institute of History of ANAS will hold a round table on “Azerbaijan and China on the Great Silk Way”, October 12-16, 2019.

The event is expected to sign an agreement between the Institute of History and the Institute of World History of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences to establish two centers for the study of the history of Azerbaijani-Chinese relations. One of the centers will operate under the Institute of History in Baku and the other at the World History Institute in Beijing.

Under agreement, these centers will explore the history of the relationship between the two countries from ancient times to the present. The works of Chinese scientists will be published in Azerbaijan, and the works of Azerbaijani scientists in China.

Currently, "From the history of Azerbaijani-Chinese relations" is being prepared at the Institute of History. The authors of the book are historians Nargiz Akhundova and Hou Aytszyun, and scientific editor is academic Yagub Mahmudov.
