New interesting facts have been discovered as a result of field studies by “Ancient Gabala” archaeological expedition led by Deputy Director of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography for scientific affairs PhD in History Najaf Museyibli in the area of Gabala region in latest 2014.

Excavations carried out in previous years have been continued this year in ancient settlement Galayeri belonging to first half of the BC IV.

The majority findings remain of pottery and different tools of stone. Also have been found the graves of children buried in a potter's vessel as a continuation of the traditions in Asia.

One of the expedition's scientific innovations has been determination of tombs necropolis belonging to the Kura-Araz culture in the east of Dizakhlı village, on the right bank of the Garachay.
