Director of ANAS Genetic Resources Institute, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Zeynal Akperov met with the head of the research group for Cherries France NCAR (National Institute of Agronomic Research - National Center for Agronomic Research), Dr. Josie Garcia, with scientist of the Institute of Agronomic Research Murcia Gregorio Lopez and scientist-selector on sweet cherry of Institute Julius Kukhna Dr. Mirko Schuster (Germany). Scientists visited Azerbaijan within the Program Marie Curie research exchange of the European commission, and also within the European collaborative program in science and technology. During a meeting discussion of joint participation in the European projects, and also possibilities of accession of institute to the European collaborative program in science and technologies was carried out. At a meeting certain agreements on carrying out joint researches and training were reached. Then guests acted on the subject “From Classical Selection to Selection on the basis of a Marker”.

We will note that scientists took part in researches conducted at institute till June 22.
