Today, a celebrate scientist in the field of geotechnological problems in oil, gas and chemistry, a director of the “Research Institute of Oil, Gas, Geotechnical Problems and Chemistry” under Azerbaijan State Oil Industry University, Elmira Ramazanova is 85 years old.
Elmira Ramazanova was born on October 28, 1934 in Baku. In 1952 she graduated from secondary school No. 134 with a gold medal and in 1957 she graduated with honors from the Energy Department of the Azerbaijan Industrial Institute (Azerbaijan State Oil Academy).
In 1965, she defended PhD on “Research and development of a method for calculating the conditions of gas separation of gas condensate systems” and in 1975, her doctoral dissertation on “Thermodynamic study of oil and gas condensate fields using adaptation methods”, in 1978 she was awarded the title of Professor. In 2007 she was elected as a corresponding member of ANAS.
E.Ramazanova is a well-known scientist conducting comprehensive practical and scientific research to ensure the effective development of oil and gas and gas condensate fields. Scientific research by Professor E.M. Ramazanova associated with a new approach to determining parameters and calculating indicators for the development of oil and gas condensate fields, the development and application of alternative methods in oil and gas production based on energy and resource saving technologies.
In 2004, under the guidance of a scientist, our country was represented in the regional projects "Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation", "Caspian Sea, Black Sea Region, Research, Energy Policy and Climate Change." She was the leader and winner of a grant for cleaning oil-contaminated soil with the support of the World Bank. She is also the manager of a number of international environmental projects.
The scientist is the author of more than 400 scientific works, including 3 monographs, 11 study guides, 34 patents and inventions. Under her leadership, 25 doctors of philosophy and 2 doctors of sciences were trained.
