Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

ANAS Institute of History held a round table on "Let's possess our history".

Event discussed the protecting our statehood, the fight against the falsification our historical identities and other issues.

Director of the Institute, academician Yaqub Mahmudov briefed on the research carried out at the scientific institution on the initiative, challenges and tasks of the head of state in recent years.

He spoke on Institute of History's international ties and noted that, the Institute cooperates with scientific institutions of Turkey, Russia, China, Bulgaria, Poland, Egypt and other countries.

Speaking about the struggle against the Armenian lies, the scientist said that the Institute has always taken a principled position in this direction.

Y.Mahmudov stressed the importance of public support for this work, consolidation of propaganda efforts, and active involvement in the history of Wikipedia and social networks.

Later, historian Haji Hasanov, researcher-journalist Anar Turan, chairman of the Modern Development Association Mubariz Goyushlu and others said that their main goal was to serve the Azerbaijani statehood.

The researchers noted that there was a serious need for coordination with the Institute of History. It was noted the importance of joint activities, meetings and discussions in the future to protect our statehood, to promote the history of Azerbaijan.

At the end of the event, donated the publications to the participants.
