At the meeting of the Academic Council of ANAS Institute of Folklore the deputy director on scientific affairs, Ph.D in Philology Oruj Aliyev's 70th anniversary is celebrated.

Director of the Institute, academician Mukhtar Imanov spoke on the life and creativity of the folk scholar. The scientist said that, his acquaintance with Oruj Aliyev coincided with 1972, referring to his responsible approach to the work of folklore.

Then, speaking at the event head of Ashug creativity Department of the Institute, Ph.D in Philology Elkhan Mammadli, head of Dede Gorgud Department, Ph.D in Philology, Prof. Ramazan Gafarli, head of the Department of Mythology, Ph.D in Philology, Prof. Seyfaddin Rzasoy, head of Classical Folklore, Ph.D in Philology Rza Khalilov and head of the Department of Modern Folklore, Ph.D in Philology, Prof. Fuzuli Bayat, head of the Department of Classical Folklore, Ph.D in Philology Rza Khalilov characterized O.Aliyev as a prominent scientist, simple and intelligent person. They noted that, O.Aliyev was a consistent researcher of fairy tales and enriched Azerbaijani folklore in this area.
