By the invitation of the vice-president of ANAS, director of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi, academician Isa Habibbeyli, the successors of the family of prominent Azerbaijani writer Jalil Mammadguluzadeh, the writer Martin Javanshir and Przemislav Javanshir arrived in Baku.
The successors of Jalil Mammadguluzadeh's family met with academician Isa Habibbayli on November 17. During the meeting, the guests were told about the rich literary and literary creativity of the great democratic writer, the high respect for his personality and heritage at the state level in Azerbaijan. It was also noted that a series of events dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Jalil Mammadguluzadeh were held in our country by the relevant order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
During the meeting, also was spoken about the emigration of Anvar Mammadguluzadeh, Mirza Jalil's son, who left Azerbaijan in 1942, and the fate of his children and grandchildren living in various countries around the world.
Then, acad. Isa Habibbayli presented the books to the descendants of Jalil Mammadguluzade and his portrait, a hand made on metal.
Visitors from Poland visited the Alley of Martyrs, got acquainted with the Nizami Ganjavi National Museum of Literature and also visited Icheri Sheher.
The guests are expected to attend the opening ceremony of the House Museum by Jalil Mammadguluzadeh.
Martin Javanshir’s speech is intended at the international conference to be held at the National Library of Azerbaijan named after Mirza Fatali Akhundzadeh co-organized by Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi which to be held according to the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the outstanding writer and public figure Jalil Mammadguluzadeh, pursuant to the Action Plan of the Ministry of Culture of AR and National Academy of Sciences.
Meetings with Jalil Mammadguluzadeh's descendants will be held at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and Writers' Union.
The descendants of Jalil Mammadguluzadeh along with a group of Azerbaijani intellectuals today visited the grave of the great democratic writer and laid wreaths.
