Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Decision was made on establishing international labs in the research institutions of ANAS. Thus, joint with Italian Institute of Methodologies for Environmental Analysis, “Space-time analysis of earthquake hazards” international laboratory has been established attached to ANAS Institute of Geology and Geophysics in order to conduct researches in the direction of analysis of geological and ecological processes by means of statistic methods.

By another decision of the Presidium of ANAS has been established “Forest mycology and pathology” collaboration lab between Institute of Botany and U. S. Iowa State University of Science and Technology”. Laboratory will serve to study of fungi, their conducting research at latest scientific level, conservation and restoration of forest ecosystems in an integrated form.

It was decided to establish laboratory by the Institute of Botany and Botanical Garden and University of Frankfurt, Germany by name “Biodiversity and climate change”. This lab will serve the study of plant diversity that occurs under the influence of climate fluctuations, protecting its rich wild plant life, nature conservation and sustainable use of species.
