Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Director of the National Museum of Azerbaijan History of ANAS academician Naila Valikhanli and deputy director of the scientific fund of the museum, Doctor of Law, Associate Professor Mahfuza Zeynalova participated in the 2nd Forum of the International Alliance of Silk Road Museums (IASRM) in China.

Representatives of museums from China, Serbia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and other countries attended the forum organized by the National Museum of China.

The purpose of the forum is to expand the activities of museums of the countries along the Silk Road and to establish cooperation based on the presented projects.

During the event, museum managers informed about the current state of the cultural institutions represented and made proposals for projects.

Vice President of IASRM, academician Naila Valikhanli delivered a lecture on the international relations and achievements of the museum with other agencies. She also spoke of the museum's collection, including exhibits on the Silk Road. Museum of History, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary has expanded its international links and collaborates with museums in several countries, including Kazakhstan, Russia and Uzbekistan.

Organization of inter-museums mobile exhibitions, exchange of scientific experience and staff, protection and restoration of exhibits, as well as issues of application of modern conservation technologies.
