ANAS Central Scientific Library (CSL) has organized an event on the occasion of February 2 - Azerbaijan Youth Day with participation of young library staff and readers.

The event was attended by director of the CSL, Ph.D. Leyla Imanova, who spoke about the history of this remarkable day. He noted that the 1st Forum of Azerbaijani Youth was held on February 2, 1996, and the Decree, signed by the national leader Heydar Aliyev in 1997, declared Youth Day in our country. The youth policy set by the great leader, is successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev.

Leyla Imanova congratulated the library's young staff and readers and wished them success in their educational and scientific searches.

Noting that 4,500 of the 6,500 readers of the CSL are young, director said that new information services are formed here, namely in the library - the young readers' union. He said most of the CSL staff are young people who work in traditional library activities, as well as digitalization, Wikipedia, programming, public relations and more.

Later, the library's staff presented publications on Azerbaijani culture and science to young readers.
