Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

A meeting was held under the chairmanship of the president of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, academician Ramiz Mehdiyev, at which the tasks facing the authors of the multi-volume “Chronicle of Freedom: History of Independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan (1991-2020)” were discussed.

In his speech at the meeting, which was held at the Presidium of ANAS, the chief editor of scientific work, academician Ramiz Mehdiyev said that the corresponding decision on the preparation and publication of the multi-volume was adopted at a meeting of the Presidium of ANAS. Speaking about the historical significance of the multivolume, which will become the scientific and theoretical chronicle of the period of independence of our country, academician Ramiz Mehdiyev spoke in detail about the thematic and methodological features of the publication.

Noting that the work will reflect such important areas as the socio-political processes taking place during the reign of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, issues of state building, domestic and foreign policy, the development of science, education and culture, etc. academician Ramiz Mehdiyev expressed his confidence that the multivolume “Chronicles of Freedom: The History of Independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan (1991-2020)” will be the result of serious scientific research niy domestic scientists engaged in the field of humanities and social sciences.

Then the first vice-president of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbayli, spoke in detail about the upcoming tasks related to the preparation of a multi-volume book, the directions envisaged, the topics of each chapter and the work of the authors.

The meeting was attended by the director of the Institute of History, academician Yagub Mahmudov, director of the Institute of Economics, professor Nazim Imanov, deputy director of the Institute of Philosophy for Science, professor Eynulla Madatli, head of the department of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, professor Ali Hasanov and others who expressed their judgments on the topic and noted that they would timely and efficiently fulfill their responsibilities.

In conclusion, Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev gave the authors of the multi-volume “Chronicle of Freedom: The History of Independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan (1991-2020)” relevant recommendations and instructions.
