Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

In 2020, the archaeological collection of the National Museum of the Azerbaijan History of ANAS is preparing to celebrate its 100th anniversary.

The exhibit, donated to the Archaeological Fund of the museum, is a ceramic vessel with the image of a goat. The vessel was found in 2009 during international archaeological excavations at the Ovchulartepesi monument, headed by corresponding member of ANAS Vali Bakhshaliyev.

A vessel dating back to the 5th millennium BC is a valuable source for studying the ancient history and rich culture of Azerbaijan.
