October 16, 2014 Institute of Literature held a meeting with our compatriot Heydar Imanov, the rector of the Smolny Institute, Russian Academy of Education, St. Petersburg academician of the International Academy of Energy member of the Academy of the Humanities.
During the meeting signed an agreement on scientific cooperation between the Institute of Literature and the Smolny Institute.
Vice-president of ANAS, Director of the Institute of Literature, academician Isa Habibbayli informed the guest about successful reforms carried out in the academy over the last year.
It was noted that, newly created World Policy Institute, Institute of the History of Science and Institute for Caucasian study in the Academy are in the process of formation. These academic institutions will create conditions for large-scaled scientific research on new scientific directions. Vice-president of ANAS noted the importance of further expansion of ties with the Azerbaijani diaspora in Russia, in particular, in St. Petersburg.
Rector of the Smolny Institute St. Petersburg Professor Heydar Imanov familiarized with the conditions at the Institute of Literature and expressed gratitude to the leadership of the academy. Expressing the interest of both countries to establish relations of scientific cooperation the guest appreciated the activities of scientists of Azerbaijan and Russia in the field of scientific cooperation.
Professor G.Imanov spoke about the projects envisaged to hold conscientious activities of the relations established between the scientific institutions of the two countries, to use of information technology, to maximize the benefits of archival materials and others.
It was noted that cooperation between scientific institutions of Azerbaijan and Russia will create favorable conditions for the further expansion of research by scientists of the two countries.
Then, between the Institute of Literature Institute and Smolny Institute signed an agreement on cooperation.
