Chemistry of Additives continues its activities online in accordance with the relevant orders and instructions of the President of ANAS academician Ramiz Mehdiyev.

This was stated by the chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor Afsun Sujayev. He said that for this purpose, the management of the institute has prepared an action plan and instructed the heads of relevant laboratories and departments in accordance with the plan.

Distance education is organized for master graduates studying at the institute. Lectures and seminars are conducted by leading scientists on the basis of video presentations: “At the same time, the scientific and pedagogical practice of the second year master graduates of the institute is carried out remotely, the lessons taught by the practicing masters are widely discussed. Appropriate online consultation hours are organized by their supervisors for the completion of their dissertations, noted A. Sujayev.

One of the most important issues is related to joint international research. Currently, the institute has set up 4 international research groups in connection with fundamental theoretical research. Video conferences are held with these research groups via Skype: “Laboratory tests envisaged in the 2020 Action Plan were carried out in January-March. At present, articles are being written based on the important results of these studies and are being published in prestigious journals included in the “Web of Science” and “Scopus” databases. In general, it is planned to publish 10-15 papers on the results of this joint research, he said.

A.Sucayev stressed that the scientists of the institute continue to work on the preparation of 2 monographs and 2 textbooks for graduates.

The chairman of the council also noted that scientific seminars and competitions dedicated to the 75th anniversary of ANAS and the 55th anniversary of the Institute of Chemistry of Additives are going to be held in May this year.
