Huseyn Javid House Museum - the main center of Javidology in Azerbaijan

House-Museum of Huseyn Javid marks 25 years since the beginning of its activity at ANAS, which is considered the main center of Javidology in Azerbaijan.

25 years ago, at a meeting held with the participation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, national leader Heydar Aliyev, issues related to the construction of the Mausoleum of Huseyn Javid in Nakhchivan and the creation of his house-museum in Baku were discussed. The Cabinet of Ministers decree of July 10, 1995 resolved the issue of creating the Huseyn Javid House Museum, transferring it to the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, placing it in the building in which the classic lived, and assigning it the name Huseyn Javid House Museum.

Today the museum operates, remaining true to the goals, desires and traditions of its creators - the national leader Heydar Aliyev and the daughter of the classic Turan Javid.

Currently, Huseyn Javid House Museum is a full-fledged scientific institution of ANAS. The Museum has a Scientific Council and 6 research departments: "Javidology", "Department of Scientific and Mass Events", "Department of Scientific Foundations", "Department of Scientific and Artistic Design", "Department of Scientific Exposition" and "Department of Scientific Information and Library ". The departments are collecting and registering materials related to the heritage of H. Javid and his family, their scientific description, storage, study, propaganda, organization and display of expositions and traveling exhibitions, the provision of library services, the organization of virtual exhibitions, etc.

The museum established cooperation with relevant institutions of the republic and foreign countries, organized the publication of the poet's works in various foreign languages. The multi-volumes prepared by the museum for publication are a significant contribution to the development of Javidology in Azerbaijan.
