Leading researcher at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology of ANAS, head of the Department of Education, PhD in Biology Samira Rustamova gave an interview to ATV Qərargah.

Speaking about the impact of COVID-19 infection on future generations, the scientist said that the integration of such infections into the human genome has already been proven. S. Rustamova noted that although this infection does not affect human genetics, one or another infectious disease has a mandatory effect on its epigenetics - genetic memory. The scientist added that the basic genetic codes are passed on to subsequent generations through this system.
