Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Today is the 80th anniversary of the outstanding economist, holder of the "Shohrat" order, Honored Scientist, head of department at the Institute of Economics, corresponding member of ANAS Shahbaz Muradov.

Shahbaz Musa oglu Muradov was born on August 10, 1940 in the village of Khumarta, Lachin region. In 1946-1950 he studied at the newly opened elementary school in the village of Khumarta, and in 1950-1953 he continued his studies at a 7-year school in the village of Kokhna. In 1953-1956 he studied at the Baku Cooperative Technical School. In 1961, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Economics of the Azerbaijan State University (now Baku State University) and as a young specialist was sent to the Institute of Economics of the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.

Sh.Muradov received his PhD in Economics in 1965, a doctorate in economics in 1972, the title of professor in 1977, and in 2001 he was elected a corresponding member of ANAS.
