Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

On August 19-20, 2020, an online meeting of the Committee on Information and Communication Technology, Science, Technology and Innovation of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific was held.

The head of the department of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, PhD in Engineering Babek Nabiyev also took part in the meeting.

The event was attended by representatives of 31 countries and 17 international organizations, including Azerbaijan, whose main connection point was the capital of Thailand, Bangkok. The meeting discussed joint measures to use technology during a pandemic, bridging the digital divide for inclusive broadband, expanding space applications to achieve sustainable development goals, and inclusive technologies and innovation over 10 years.
