Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Important scientific results were obtained in the framework of joint international research by scientists from the Institute of Additive Chemistry named after Academician A. Guliyev of ANAS and Irkutsk Institute of Chemistry. Academician A. Favorsky of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The laboratory of some heterocyclic compounds studied in detail the physiological activity of new substances synthesized by the researchers. In particular, it was found that 6 compounds containing nitrogen, phosphorus, selenium and sulfur, which have therapeutic potential, showed strong inhibitory activity against metabolic enzymes.
