The head of the laboratory of the Institute of Radiation Problems, corresponding member of ANAS Islam Mustafayev participated in “Air quality governance " conference on the results of the regional project in Brussels, Belgium. The project developed an Action Plan to improve air quality in Baku, an inventory of emissions sources carried out Sumgait and National Action Plan developed for entrance into air pollution in far distances Convention Protocol in Transboundary Context . Additions and amendment legislation to Azerbaijani legislation on air quality governance proposed.

It should be noted that the project carried out in 7 countries of the former USSR supported by European Union.
