An agreement on scientific and technical cooperation was signed between the Institute of Polymer Materials (IPM) of ANAS and Lankaran State University (LSU).

The agreement covers the study of the application of natural minerals and agro-industrial wastes of Lankaran region as fillers in polymers. Within the framework of this document, it is planned to purchase and study biopolymer on the basis of wastes of agrarian and industrial enterprises of Lankaran region, to determine the main wastes that can be applied in biopolymer compounds.

In addition, joint research and information exchange with LSU staff, preparation of masters, doctoral students and dissertators, discussion of the results of cooperation, publication of patents, articles and reports are also planned.

The agreement, which covers years of 2020-2027, was signed by the director of IPM, corresponding member of ANAS Bakhtiyar Mammadov and acting rector of LSU, Professor Natig Ibrahimov.
