Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Domestic academic historical science has come a long way of development. A group engaged in archaeological research in order to study the history of Azerbaijan from ancient times to the present day was created at the Institute of History, which in 1945 became part of the Department of Social Sciences of ANAS.
