Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

First edition of “Poetika.izm” journal by initiative and editorship of vice-president of ANAS, director of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami acad. Isa Habibbayli was published.

The first edition dedicated to literature theory in the country has been published by the Scientific Council of the institute dated December 4, 2013 and officially registered with certificate of AR Ministry of Justice.

Editorial board of the journal composed of not only Azerbaijani scientists but also, scientist and experts working in the prestigious scientific centers. Deputy Editor-in-chief is prof. Tahira Mammad, responsible secretary is PhD in philosophy Maral Yagubova.

The first issue of the journal compiles papers which received positive feedback as a result of a secret citation by the editorial staff over permanent rubrics: “Genre, structure, form”, “Izm”, “Literary Context”, “Historical Poetics”, “Literary analysis. Text Poetics”, and “The translations of World literature”.

According to acad. Isa Habibbayli “Poetika.izm” journal will focus on scientific discussion, healthy polemics, dialogue as well as papers will pave the way for systematic development of literature theory science.

First edition embraces papers by Russian scientist along with Azerbaijani, also translations by French experts, proceedings on the conferences held in the Institute of Literature in a current year (Physics and lyrics: world experience and Azerbaijan realities” and “Oil factor in literature and art”).

“Poetika.izm” attaches great importance from view point of exploring common theoretic challenges of Literature, complex study of classic Azerbaijan and Eastern literature, investigation of historical poetics of Azerbaijan literature etc.
