Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

GeoNet – is the European scientific authority durably engaged in enabling the safe and efficient deployment of the CO2 Capture and Storage (CCS) technology in order to mitigate climate change and ocean acidification, joins together 24 partners from 16 European countries.

It was originally launched under the European Commission's 6th Framework Programme as a Network of Excellence (2004-2009) to promote research integration within the scientific community to help enable the implementation of CO2 geological storage. GeoNet offers a variety of services in four main domains of activity: joint research, training and capacity building, scientific advice, and information and communication.
