Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

With the purpose to fund research programs, projects and other scientific measures Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan announced main competition for grants in 2014.

The purpose of the contest is to encourage scientific research and improvement of material and technical base of scientific research institutions, departments, centers and other research organizations to support sustainable development of individual scientific fields and areas, as well as creating conditions for important scientific results through the application of modern scientific equipment, devices and appliances.

The competition to complex research and pilot projects will be allocated large grants (100-500 thousand manat) and megagrant(over 500 thousand manat), small (up to 10 thousand manat) and medium grants (10-100 thousand manat) for projects innovative nature in the areas of physical and mathematical and engineering sciences, earth sciences, chemical, biological, medical, agricultural, social sciences and humanities.

The total funding of competition is 4.2 million manat.

Preference will be given to international projects as well as projects of young scientists from the regions.

Acceptance of documents for the contest will be held on January 5 up to February 27, 2015.

Scientific examination of the main competition for 2014 will be completed in the second quarter of 2015. For applicants will be conducted consultative workshops.
