The winter exam session of the first and second year masters studying at the Institute of Geology and Geophysics (IGG) of ANAS for the 2020-2021 academic year has started.

10 first and second year masters majoring in Geology, Geological Engineering and Geophysical Engineering at GGI will be tested on specialization subjects during the winter exam session. In the first days of the session, masters took exams in "Introduction to the geochemistry of combustible minerals", "Geostatistics" and "Engineering geology".

The exams were held with the participation of corresponding member of ANAS Garib Calalov, doctor of geological-mineralogical sciences Yusif Israfilov and other scientists.

It should be noted that masters of the Institute will take exams in "Regional stratigraphy", "Understanding of sequential stratigraphy", "Digital processing of aerospace data", "Statistical processing of geological and geophysical data" and other specialties during the session. The exams were organized online in accordance with the requirements of the quarantine regime applied in the country in connection with the coronavirus epidemic.

The exam session, which started on December 30, 2020, will end on February 1 this year.
