The book “Ərəb dili” (“Arabic language”) by the leading researcher of the Department of the religion and the history of social thought of the Institute of Oriental Studies named after Academican Ziya Bunyadov of ANAS, doctor of philosophy, associate professor Elvusal Mammadov has been published.
The textbook consists of 20 lessons, 12 texts, mostly on religious topics, and a short Arabic-Azerbaijani dictionary. In 20 lessons, the phonetics, morphology and syntax of the Arabic language are taught in a practical way on the basis of examples (words and sentences) that will form the necessary vocabulary in students. Selected assignments on each grammar topic serve to strengthen students' practical and theoretical knowledge.
The main goal of the book is to develop reading, writing and translation skills in Arabic, to create a database that will ensure that students master the modern Arabic language at the required level.
The publication is intended for I-II year students of “Theology” and “Islamic Studies” specialties of the Faculty of Theology of the Azerbaijan Theological Institute, as well as those interested in the Arabic language.
