Science Development Fund announced the results of 7th competition "Grant mobility" of the "Karabakh research"

Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan announced the results of 7

th

competition "Grant mobility" of the "Karabakh research" carried out in order to foster researches dedicated to Karabakh, provision of regional and international research at the highest level, research relating to the history of Karabakh, Albanian strongholds and other historical monuments, the study of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, genocide against Azerbaijanis, Armenian aggression and to provide a scientific basis to bring these realities to the world community, as well as creating conditions for the work of Azerbaijani scientists in foreign archives.

The competition was conducted in accordance with the Plan of Activities "On strengthening measures against the Armenian Diaspora and works on coordination", approved November 25, 2014 by the head of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration, academician Ramiz Mehdiyev.

In order to ensure the work of scientists in the archives of foreign countries by issuing grants of up to 10 thousand manat provided to finance projects implementation not exceeding one month.

Experienced scientists of the Institute of Oriental Studies, the Institute of History and Folklore of ANAS and Baku State University will conduct research on the topics mentioned below in the archives of Turkey and Russia over 6 winning projects:

 "The massacres committed by Armenians in the years 1905-1920 in Karabakh in the Ottoman archival documents"

"The resettlement of Armenians from the Ottoman Empire to the lands of Northern Azerbaijan in 1829-1830 years"

"Researching the Karabakh activities of Karabakh commandant General Usimev in Dagestan (spouse Khan's daughter Natavan Khurshudbanu)"

"The Armenian Genocide: documents and facts"

"The Russian-Armenian relations and the Armenian terror in Karabakh during the First World War"

"On the organizational linkage between the massacres committed by Armenians in eastern Anatolia and Karabakh during the First World War"

It is planned to present the outputs over project in a form of seminar and publish in a book form.
