During the regular meeting of the Presidium of ANAS was listened the report of Vice President of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, academician Azizagha Shahverdiyev and head of the Department of Fluid and Gas Mechanics, Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, corresponding member of ANAS Geylani Panahov on “Innovative technologies for the production and transportation of hydrocarbons “. The report conducts on existing technologies that are used in the extraction of oil remaining in the layers of the earth, and the possibility of eliminating the difficulties encountered in the oil industry in this area, as well as the work carried out in the Department of fluid and gas mechanics in the creation of innovative technologies, 6 grant projects and more than 60 patents.

The meeting discussed the development of new technologies for the formation of gas within the formation. It was noted that the related research work carried out in the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics in Azerbaijan and in the relevant laboratories in Russia, China and the United States. Also, the implementation of new technology works referred to the direct connection with the production of these studies, obtaining patents and other issues were scheduled.

It was noted that this technology has been successfully applied in the settlement of a number of processes in the Samotlor (TNŞ), Novopokursk(Slavneft), Vategan (LUKOIL) and Orenburg fields of the Russian Federation, oil and gas fields of China. Technology designed to increase the oil-bearing formation through the formation of carbon dioxide has been used in the field Muskogee (Oklahoma) under grant from the US Department of Energy.

The studies were created composite formulations reo physical parameters, and their various modifications, and was created to ensure the removal of problems in the process of drilling, cementing and exploitation. These works have been successfully implemented in the US Gulf of Mexico, the city Almetyevsk, Russia and in Western Siberia.

The report was approved by the Presidium of ANAS. It was decided to provide material and technical base of the Institute with the necessary equipment to continue research in this direction.
