Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

ANAS Central Scientific Library (CSL) held final report of project titled as “Library innovation: researching advanced world theory and practice and applying the obtained outputs to the library system of ANAS which play an important role in data providing”.

Project was realized by Science Development Fund under AR President.

In the event Narmina Abdullayeva, chief of Azerbaijan studies department, PhD student of ANAS Institute of Oriental Studies informed about the co-authored project. Stated that, project was the winner of 2nd target ICT competition of 2013 co-organized by Science Development Fund and Ministry of Communications and High Technologies directed to giving grants with the purpose to foster development of important projects of information and communication technologies. The goal was to research libraries of the European business practices, applicable service innovation and modern styles, set up electronic libraries, electronic catalogs and scientific bases, and study the principles of management. During the implementation of the project was studied the experience of the National Library of Belarus, Istanbul University Central Library and National Library of Poland.

In closing, “Scientific-theoretic and experimental issues of library innovation” monograph which developed within the project, has been distributed to the attendees.
