Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

ANAS Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics is developed new methods for increase of oil extracting in hydrocarbon beds. Investigations are carried out within the frame of grant project by Scientific Fund ofSOCAR.

According to the project manager, vice-president of ANAS, academician-secretary of Department of Physical-Mathematical and Technical Sciences acad. Akif Hajiyev, researchers are learning problems arising by process of filtration and displacement in the beds, including high temperature and clay swelling in pressures, and their relevant deformation, difference in fluid viscosity and special weight, tectonic disturbances etc. are analyzed. The purpose is to elaborate effective methods for intensification of oil production and regulation as well as evaluation and mathematical modeling.

Note that, the two-year project has been allocated 90 thousand manat.
