Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

A group of employee of ANAS Central Scientific Library (CSL) attended the 10th International book exhibition-fair and “The book is the way of progress and cooperation” international scientific conference which held in Ashgabad, Turkmenistan.

Exhibition-fair demonstrated almost 70 books and printings reflecting Azerbaijan science, history, literature and culture in Azerbaijan, Russian and English, video-slide as well.

Exhibition stand and electron presentation of the books prepared by CSL attracted attention of attendees. After exhibition demonstrated books were donated to the governmental libraries of Turkmenistan.

In addition to CSL, our country also was represented by “Hadaf”, “KHAN” and “Sharg-Garb” publishing houses. Printing aids belonging to mentioned publishing houses were deserved to prizes in nominations of the best manual, printing, art and design work. Meanwhile, CSL was awarded with diploma for participation at the exhibition-fair and conference. 

Within exhibition days, “The book is the way of progress and cooperation” scientific conference was held by Turkmenistan State Publishing Survey.

In the conference, associate of CSL Sharafat Ismayilova delivered a lecture on the role of libraries in the modern information society, data analysis in an information society and sorting of systems, new challenges facing librarians associated with the application of modern technologies and search of information resources, integrated libraries and its importance.

Within the visit, employees of CSL carried out a number of vital meetings at Turkmenistan National Library and Turkmenistan Central Scientific Library.
