Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

ANAS Institute of the History of Science (IHS) held a "round table" by the participation of the Director of the Institute of History of Science and Technology named after S.I.Vavilov of Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), RAS corresponding Member Yuri Baturin. Welcoming the guest, the IHS Director, Doctor of Historical Sciences Maryam Seyidbeyli expressed her gratitude for his second visit to the institute.

The first, Mary Seyidbeyli congratulated employees of the Academy and the scientific community of the country with 70th anniversary of ANAS. She stressed that, the commemorative event held according to the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated March 14, 2014, "On holding the 70th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences" which was held at the high level. Corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Yuri Baturin told about the structure of the organization led by him and shared his experience in various industries. Russian colleagues noted that, Institute of the History of Science and Technology has been operating for 83 years, during this time has been collected the bulk consisting of various documents and on their basis was organized the archive.

Yuri Baturin told about the exchange of experiences between two institutions, which was held in the framework of bilateral cooperation and added that the Institute of the History of Science and Technology can take part in the workshops of the Institute of the History of Science and share their experiences in different fields.
