Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbayli met with a delegation Institute of Strategic Studies of the Caspian, led by General Secretary Haldun Yavash.

During the meeting, Isa Habibbayli noted that, the President of Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev taking into account the country traditions and intercultural values of tolerance has declared 2016 year a “Year of Multiculturalism”. Academician stressed that, the Order conducts the wide prospects for further cooperation of ANAS and the Institute of Strategic Studies of the Caspian Sea.

Informed about the activities and projects realized by the Institute of Strategic Studies of the Caspian Yavash Khaldun noted that, this structure is a research center, whose activities are focused on the study of the Caspian region, the establishment of international relations, security, economy, science, education, culture and environmental protection.

In order to expand research and discussions, Institute organizes various international meetings and workshops.

Khaldun Yavash noted the necessary to the development and implementation of programs and projects to promote the policy of multiculturalism and said that he will do every effort in this direction. At the meeting, were held discussions on “Azerbaijan Multiculturalism”, announced proposals for future work and projects envisaged to be implemented jointly.

Noted that, is planned to hold round tables and conferences, as well as the preparation and publication of the presentation with the participation of both parties.

The meeting was also attended by the coordinator on Azerbaijan of the Caspian Institute of Strategic Studies Kamala Pashayeva and head of the Division of Science Promotion of the Department of Public Relations and science popularization of ANAS, PhD in History Nurida Guliyeva and other guests.
