According to the academician, archaeological research conducted at the Bulovgaya settlement confirmed the formation of a distinct culture at Bulovgaya, differing in form and decorative motifs from the Dalma Tepe culture, identified as the Bulovgaya culture. In addition, studies of decorative motifs of ceramic products in Nakhchivan determined that the development of pottery in the region, which began in the 9th century, continued until the 12th–13th centuries.
At the same time, phraseological expressions used in the territory of Nakhchivan were, for the first time, collected by villages, settlements, and districts. The semantic nuances of these expressions, the ideas they convey, and their contextual usage were studied. Nakhchivan dialects were examined in terms of lexicon, phraseology, and lexicography. A comprehensive review was conducted, by historical periods, of the stage design work of performances staged throughout history at the Nakhchivan State National Drama Theater, one of the leading cultural institutions of Azerbaijani theater. The lives and creative activities of artists working at the Nakhchivan theater were also extensively studied. For the first time, based on archival materials, manuscripts, letters, and memoirs of poet and playwright Huseyn Razi introduced into scholarly circulation, the author’s social position, national ideological views, and commitment to ideals of freedom were thoroughly and substantiatedly revealed. Academician Ismayil Hajiyev added that the results of the research conducted at the Branch were published in the form of monographs.
