President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, met with Gokhan Seyhan, Baku Coordinator of the Yunus Emre Institute.

During the meeting, an exchange of views was held on issues related to preparations for the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress.

Academician Isa Habibbeyli noted that, in accordance with the Order of the Head of State dated October 22, 2025, “On the Celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the First Turkological Congress,” various events are already being held at ANAS, the publication of nearly 30 books is planned in total, and this process will continue throughout the year.

For his part, Gokhan Seyhan, Baku Coordinator of the Yunus Emre Institute, emphasized the important role of the First Turkological Congress in the scientific and cultural history of the Turkic world and highlighted the significance of joint activities to ensure the high-level organization of the jubilee events.

The meeting also featured extensive discussions on preparations for the international scientific conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress, to be held at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences with joint organization by ANAS and the Yunus Emre Institute.
